Heller Family Genealogy Heller is a nickname from the small medieval coin known as the häller (or heller) because it was first minted (in 1208) at the Swabian town of (Schwäbisch) Hall. The family Coat of Arms features a blue shield with a red fess bordered gold between two gold lions passant. The Crest is a blue wing. Our lineage to this family traces back to SAMUEL FRIEDRICH HELLER. His job was listed as a Forest ranger /pheasant preserver. Sometime before 1742, Samuel married EVA KATHERINA BLAUFUSS of Vaihingen/Fildern, Germany. Their daughter, EVA BARBARA HELLER, was born on the 14th of June, 1742, in Degerloch, Germany. They had a daughter named JUSTINA ROSINA BINDER (26 Jan 1764 - 04 Aug 1819), who married JAKOB FRIEDR MAMMEL (b. 1759) on the 20th of July in 1784.
