Carlisle Hause (nicknamed "Tom," 1891-1972) visits California in 1963 and sees the Pacific Ocean for the first time, then visits the homes of his grandson, Carleton Jr., in Vista, and his son Carleton Sr., in Chula Vista, where he reunites with his brothers Raymond Laban Hause (nicknamed "Dick," 1888-1970) and Basil Franklin Hause (nicknamed "Harry," 1895-1985). This was the last time the Hause brothers were all together. (Music: "Stardust," music written by Hoagy Carmichael with lyrics by Mitchell Parish; performed by Nat King Cole.)
